My names Beth Jones, I am currently a second year undergraduate on a zoology and animal behaviour course at Bangor University, based in North Wales. I have an immediate passion in animal behaviours and understanding why they are displayed.

On the 22nd of March, 2019, sixteen colleagues, three lecturers (Dr Christian Dunn, Professor Chris Freeman and Wynn Johnson) and i departed from Bangor University Brambell building bus stop, at the early hours of 6am to Manchester airport to begin our trip to Fort Myers, Florida.
The aim of this blog is to demonstrate the incredible experience i got to be a part of but also share key scientific knowledge and research information with the use of media to demonstrate key species behaviours as well as the plant variety in Florida.
Acknowledgements for this trip are dedicated to the University for enabling this experience, also to Wynn Johnson, Professor Chris Freeman and Dr Christian Dunn for enabling this trip and supporting all candidates. Acknowledgements to the Florida Golf Coast University and Research Centre, Barefoot Beach, Lovers Key, Corkscrew Swamp and Ding Darling Wildlife Nature Reserve and finally to all the lovely volunteers at these locations for providing time to educate us.
For more information about my experience or information on animal and plant species seen/locations visited please contact me at: Bsub32@bangor.ac.uk
